Eric Kelly has served as Overland Storage’s Chief Executive Officer since January 2009, its President & CEO since January 2010 and as a Board member since November 2007. Mr. Kelly is also is a current member of the Sphere3D Board and has served as its Chairman since July 2013.
Mr. Kelly currently serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Manufacturing Council, and the White House’s Advance Manufacturing Partnership, where he offers advice and counsel to the Obama Administration on strategies and policy recommendations on ways to promote and advance U.S. manufacturing. He also participates on advisory boards for the University of San Francisco and San Francisco State University.
Mr. Kelly has more than 30 years of operational, marketing and sales expertise in the high technology industry. Prior to joining Overland, he was Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Valley Management Partners Inc., a management consulting and M&A advisory firm, which he co-founded in 2007 and was the U.S. Advisor for Nomura International, one of the largest Private Equity firms in Japan.
Earlier, Mr. Kelly was President and General Manager at Adaptec, a Fortune 1000 corporation; Board Member, President and CEO of Snap Appliance; Vice President of the Enterprise business at DELL Computer; and President of the Systems Division at Maxtor Corporation. In addition, he has held executive-level positions with IBM, Connor Peripherals and Diamond Multimedia Systems. He earned an M.B.A from San Francisco State University and a B.S. in Business from San Jose State University.
Kurt L. Kalbfleisch
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kurt Kalbfleisch joined Overland in December 1993 and serves as Overland’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Kurt has served in several key management roles in cost accounting and finance during his tenure at Overland. Prior to joining Overland, Kurt was a manufacturing budget analyst for McDonnell Douglas Corp. Kurt earned his MBA from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in Business from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
Chief Operating Officer
Randy Gast joined Overland in August 2012 and serves as Overland’s Chief Operating Officer.In addition to having responsibility for the company’s worldwide manufacturing, logistics, supply chain and IT operations, he also leads Overland’s global customer support organization. Prior to joining Overland, Randy held the position of Vice President of Worldwide Supply Chain and Logistics at Hewlett-Packard where he was responsible for a $2 billion operation. Previous tenures also include Vice President of Global Operations and Facility Security Officer (FSO) at 3Par; Global Vice President of Operations at Adaptec, Inc.; Vice President of Worldwide Operations & Customer Support at Snap Appliance; and Vice President of Operations at Maxtor Corporation. Randy earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Arizona State University.
Vice President Americas & Asia Pacific/Japan Sales, Worldwide OEM & Government Sales
Scott Petersen joined Overland in January 2014 as part of the acquisition of Tandberg Data, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Overland Storage. Scott serves as Overland’s Vice President of Worldwide OEM & Government Sales, having sales responsibility for both Overland and Tandberg data storage solutions. Scott most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Americas Sales for Tandberg Data. Prior to joining Tandberg Data, he served as the Vice President of Sales, Eastern U.S. for McData Corp. and the Vice President of Sales for BakBone Software, Inc. Scott has also held a variety of leadership functions for several other high-tech companies, including Actiopoint, Inc. and Sterling Software. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Vice President EMEA Sales
Graham Paterson joined Overland in January 2014 as part of the acquisition of Tandberg Data, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Overland Storage. Graham serves as Overland’s Vice President of EMEA Sales and Channel Marketing, having sales responsibility in the EMEA region for both Overland and Tandberg data storage solutions. Graham most recently served as Senior Vice President of the EMEA region for Tandberg Data and brings more than 20 years of international senior management experience in sales, marketing and business development.Graham’s previous experience includes international sales management at companies such as AVG, Samsung, Quantum and AST. Graham earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Liverpool University in England.
Vice President of Engineering
Trevor Heathorn joined Overland in June 2010 and serves as Overland’s Vice President of Engineering, leading research and development activities across all divisions. Prior to joining Overland, Trevor served as Director of Software Development for MaxiScale where he was responsible for managing the delivery of file server and clustering management software for scalable web storage platforms. Other executive- level positions include Director of Software Engineering at BlueArc; Vice President of Software Development at Quantum’s network-attached storage division; and Vice President of Software Development for Meridian Data. Trevor earned his master’s degree in Engineering and a diploma in Computer Science from Cambridge University in England.
Vice President Global Human Resources
Carol Dixon joined Overland Storage in January 2011 and serves as Vice President of Global Human Resources. She leads the company’s worldwide HR strategy including talent acquisition and management, organizational and workforce development, workforce planning and training, benefits and compensation, legal compliance and employee services .
Ms. Dixon is also an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University where she teaches Technology Applications in Human Resources Management. Prior to joining Overland Storage, Ms. Dixon held Human Resources leadership positions for global organizations including Flextronics and Solectron.
A widely-respected human resources professional, Ms. Dixon is an active member in her community and has received numerous awards for her dedication, leadership and commitment to community services. She received the “HR Leadership” award from the 2014 Northern California HR Symposium which honors extraordinary achievement in the Human Resource profession in the Bay Area. In 2013, Ms. Dixon received the prestigious “Drum Major for Justice Award” for her outstanding community service in the San Jose area. Earlier, she received the 2011 Mildred L. Robinson “President of the Year” award and 2012 “Sister That Rocks Award”. Additionally, Ms. Dixon is a consultant for the San Jose African America Community Services Agency where she supports the organization with HR policies, processes and programs integration, and legal compliance.
Ms. Dixon is a graduate of San Jose State University and earned her HR Executive Leadership certification from the American Electronics Association (AEA).
