REO Multi-SitePAC remote data backup software automates the manual process of protecting remote data - without requiring changes to your existing backup systems or software. REO Multi-SitePAC seamlessly transfers backup data in virtual tape format from a remote REO to a central REO, where it can be consolidated, managed and archived, as well as used as a mirroring software. So whether you need to comply with new regulations, fulfill service level agreements, ensure business continuity or simply reduce storage management costs, REO Multi-SitePAC is an easy-to-deploy, reliable and affordable way to backup, recover and consolidate critical information, a complete remote data backup solution.

At each remote location, the backup software transfers backup data to the REO with Multi-SitePAC, where it is stored in virtual tape format. Then, at a user-determined time, the REO Multi-SitePAC remote data backup software automatically transfers the data to the central REO. After the data is received, the backup software can optionally move it from the central REO to a tape device, such as an Overland Storage NEO™ tape library, for long-term archival. But simple, reliable backup is only half the story. REO Multi-SitePAC also enables near-instantaneous recovery from either the remote or central REO. And because your data resides in both places, REO Multi-SitePAC provides a simple, low-cost way data backup solution to ensure business continuity.
Platform-independent and backup software agnostic, the REO with Multi-SitePAC fits into virtually any existing storage environment. It also has a mirroring software component for remote locations. No changes to your backup software or systems are required. Configuring, monitoring and managing the backup operation all takes place from the central location, no matter how many remote sites you have. An intuitive graphical user interface provides status updates on the backup data transfer from REO to REO. If a backup job is interrupted, REO Multi-SitePAC’s checkpoint restart capability automatically resumes the data transfer process from the point at which it stopped. With centralized administration, automated storage provisioning and status management features, the REO with Multi-SitePAC offers a remote backup mirroring solution that is easy to implement, administer and support with minimum human intervention.
